Hi everyone, I'd like to ask if Chungnam University has any student clubs or groups for freshmen? I just got accepted but don't know anyone yet, and I'm not sure how clubs like 선배 (senior student clubs) or 후배 (junior student clubs) operate. Are there any social activities or support programs for new students? Anyone who's participated, please give me some reviews!
Hi, I'm from Jung-ang University, but when I first came here, I also looked into these student associations. Usually, every university has its own student association, and the senior students often organize meetups for new students, especially during the first week of enrollment. You should check the Facebook group or the university website, or ask the International Relations office. Last year, I attended an orientation session, and the senior students were quite helpful, often providing information about procedures, markets, how to get a foreigner registration certificate, and sometimes even weekend get-togethers. Feel free to ask the senior students; they usually leave the KakaoTalk group link on the website or Facebook group.
