Hi everyone, could you tell me the approximate cost of a room in a dormitory around Seoul National University of Technology? I'm thinking of moving out instead of staying in a dormitory, but I'm not sure about the exact amount of money I'll need to pay. Are there any safe areas within walking distance of the university?
I'm a D-4 student at Seonggukwang University, so I've looked for rooms near my school. I think the area around Seoul National University of Technology has similar prices. Rooms near the school usually cost around 300-500 million won (with a deposit) and 350-500 million won (with a monthly payment) depending on whether the room is new or old. Around the school, there are many rental properties in the Jeongmun area, about a 5-10 minute walk. If you want to save money, you can check out Gosiwon; they're cheaper but the rooms are smaller. The management there is also good, but you should see the room in person before putting down a deposit. I used to live in a single room (원룸), and the management fee (관리비) was about 50,000-100,000 yen/month, depending on the room.
